: Show some up -n- coming Fan Films
This is becoming 'popular demand', and will take up lots of event time: Not everyone has 'short' films, and the multiple Q&A sessions will burn many minutes as well. As long as we can keep it VERY INTERESTING, it'll work. If not, it'll quickly become a Bore-A-Thon...
: Show "May Day" , We all have to see "May Day"
It's spelled "Mae Day", and is also becoming a 'must have' item. It's short enough, there's folks who haven't seen it, and like Smalls said - it would be cool to have Kevin throw down his own film school project and see how it measures up with the others...
: Show Brian Lynch's Pat Movie
If it's ready and available, hells yea...
: Q&A session on Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, J&SBSB(w/ cast)
Blah. There's been enough commentary on these, and Smalls is right - it'll be tough getting all those folks back in.
: Maybe a LIVE Commentary on Jersey Girl. Before the DVD comes out.
Neat idea, but don't count on it being worthy of DVD status. Just film the Q&A session and see what happens...
Bottom Line: I think JG, Pat, and the Fan stuff would fill up the 'five slots' and make for a kick-ass event. Some sideshows I've thought of for the weekend involve doing another 'Reality Tour', or maybe putting on a straight up party with a bar, some food, and a DJ. Maybe throw in some kind of talent contest or other comedy-relief type thing...
More than a few people hated the January 6th date, but hotel costs were so cheap and the weekend was so dead it was kinda worth it. Maybe the end of January or beginning of February would be a better timeframe. Kev should think about picking a holiday weekend like MLK or President's Day...
