2 different topics in the same post. I apologize. But it's two birds with one stone, really.
Last night, for the umpteenth time (how does one spell umpteenth? I'm not sure myself), I watched Chasing Amy. God, I love that movie. But I was showing it to my mother...who is, in most cases, fairly liberal.
She doesn't really like it.
Worse. She can't really explain why. She says that she didn't even know what a lesbian was until she was forty...I'm not quite sure what that has to do with liking the movie, but it was discouraging -- is there really that much of a generational gap between us "kids* and the ol' folks??? I remember reading on the Chasing Amy website that Kevin, upon thanking his parents, said "I know there is a PG in me somewhere" ... what is up with this generational gap and how could someone let it ruin the only good love story of the 90's???
-- Okay, second topic. Yes, the Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back website is amusing...but hasn't Kevin said anything, anywhere, about his real feelings about the movie? I just want to hear what he really thinks (might just have to wait 2 more weeks for that DVD) as opposed to the tongue-in-cheek sentiments on the website...
