They didn't do the original because it was NC-17. I feel like Kubrick would have insisted on sticking with that rating, but in his absence they made the changes. I'm surprised they didn't put his version on the DVD though. Wierd.

I'm sort of interested in seeing the wacky way Todd Solondz handled a similar censoring problem in "Storytelling", but I'm not yet convinced that he's not the devil, so I don't know if I can put myself through seeing one of his flicks on the big screen. Shudder.

: The real travesty is the CGI shadow guys in Eyes Wide Shut. Why oh why can't they put out the original version?
