: I was entertained by this movie straight through. Well written, acted, and shot.
I could see that there was a lot of thought put into parts of the movie, and I kinda got some of the quotes from the samuri handbook thing, but the fact that the plot just didn't fit together at all didn't work for me. I'm still confused as to why the strange big-rapper stereotype turned samurai and just sort of went postal-ish and killed all the mafia in the town even though he was indebted to one of them... and the whole thing with the wierd icecream guy who only spoke French was kinda amusing, but really just odd. I don't know, but I think movies are great when they are well written and thought out, but they need to also be entertaining and not just confusing as all hell. I mean look at the dialogue in Kevin's flicks, or something like Pulp Fiction (incredible film) the speach was excellent, but the rest of the film flows and goes somewhere you can see, I don't know now I'm just ranting...
