I mean, it's no Ren & Stimpy, but I think there's gotta be some linking "style" to it...the later Disney stuff (Hercules, Emperor's new groove, Atlantis) Clerks TAS...it even looks a little Chuck Jones-y sometimes (whenever he draws those cigar-smoking, fedora-wearing stubbled guys with the really triangular torso...)

You guys may be right, though...sigh.
