...on all the commentaries, it's been made pretty clear that a good 95% percent of the footage that was pulled was ultimately pulled because it slowed down the film, didn't work, or just wasn't funny...a few of them were for budget or timing reasons and very rarely because of the content, but ultimately it was always because Kevin wanted them out, so the versions that made it to the theaters are all "Director's Cuts" in every definition of the term...
