ok, I'll re-phrase, the UNEDITED versions.
Also, in Jay and Bob Strike Back, and in Dogma I believe much footage was
pulled because of controversy. Since the proverbial 'bank' has been
pulled in from the movies, I see no reason to conform to the censors for
further re-issues, like American Pie and Road Trip did with 'unrated'
versions, adding in pieces that weren't in the theatres.
Because, after all, when debating the length/content of a picture -
especially something as intricate as Dogma or Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back
- it's more interesing, and important to allow an individual viewers
option in their own home, as opposed to a test screening in a not-so-
personal arena, like a movie theatre. Some movies work in length in your
own home - Schindlers List as an example - but fail at the theatres
because of length.
