A Question about the end of Chasing Amy

Maybe this has been tackled before, I don't know, but my friends and I disagree about the end of Chasing Amy.

They say that at the end, Alyssa puts Holden's Chasing Amy comic in a bin, making it a sad ending. But I say she just puts it to one side to read later, making it a happier ending.

So what does she do with the comic? I've looked in the script book, but it's not even mentioned in there.
