I think she just put it aside but never read it. From the look on her face it didn't look like she really wanted to relive anything that had happened. So she put it in a bin, got home and stuffed it in her attic. 50 years from now, she's going to go up there looking for something, and she's going to see it...read it... cry... then she's going to look for Holden, only to find out he died in a drug induced fit of rage, resulting in a hail of gunfire with a local security guard at the Mall. Sad sad times.
