A "cause"? No, the guy has an idea, and was trying to make a point that people in red don't post. So Brian did. Wherein was he not eased?

Kevin (and admittedly, you know him far, far better than I ever will through listening to DVD commentary tracks) seems to have an open mind about listening to the advice of others and taking good advice to heart.
First off, 80% wouldn't. Second off, there's a difference between his films, which he's not paying for, and his website, which he is. He himself has expressed that he doesn't want to lose any money for anybody with his movies (and thus far, he hasn't really, although "'Rats" took a while, I believe it has turned a profit on video).

Not true. Kevin specifically said -- either himself or via somebody, I can't remember which -- that the OT ban (of sorts) was hereby lifted, and that, while Ming would still delete stuff, pretty much anything goes.

Actually, it didn't start with those rules either. The rules evolved over time because the board was getting unwieldy, so a second board was made. Then a third board. Then the second board was disintegrated (pretty much everybody there had stopped using it anyway) and melded with the third board. Then something happened to the third-now-second board, and now it's gone and we've got one board for everything.

Kevin has spoken out on this a number of times, and I also have full faith, in that Brian has yet to misrepresent him.
