Jesus, do you shit on just about everything? The guy has a cause, he hasn't been too rampantly asshole-ish about it, and he's just asking for people who feel the same way as him to make a statement. Ease up, eh?

I don't completely agree with the guy, but I also don't have this bitter, negative fixation with pissing on people that sometimes overcomes you, it seems. Are you saying that if 80% of the VA board members said, "Let's streamline the board," that Kevin would completely ignore it? The same guy who readily admits to asking critics and other filmakers about rough cuts of his movies just so he can take their advice to heart? Kevin (and admittedly, you know him far, far better than I ever will through listening to DVD commentary tracks) seems to have an open mind about listening to the advice of others and taking good advice to heart.

This board once had rules, as far as I can tell by my research. A special board for OT posts was shut down, so the rules for this board got put to the wayside by pure circumstance. The board as it is now does not follow the rules that it started with (and which, I believe, are still more-or-less posted in the Summaries). Some people (nine, the last time I checked the petition - which I have not signed b/c I'm a newbie w/ less of a vested interest in this board as some long-timers) agree w/ Adam. These are all facts -- correct me where I have made errors.

If you support the right of members to post pointless polls, then support this poor guy's right to protest that. And let Kevin speak for himself (or attribute it if yr quoting him).
