I prefered Spider-Man.
Then again I'm a much bigger Spidey fan than I am a Star Wars fan... that's why I'm also much more forgiving than a non-spidey fan would be.
Kirsten Dunst ruins much of the movie for me, but I plow through for the good stuff... I think that's how most die hard... or even just big fans of Star Wars feel.
Sure there was a bunch of awful crap, but there were good parts and even if the goodparts were outnumbered by the bad the good parts were cool enough that you forgive.
If Spidey hadn't come out this year Star Wars would have been much more exciting to me. I'm a huge fan... or was... still am of the old movies.
Spider-Man has always been one of my biggest influences. It's the way I think about humor and the reason I love to write etc. so I don't care if they should have used Alicia Witt as Mary Jane... I just care that it felt like I was watching Spider-Man... which I was... go figure.
