I am a HUGE Spider-Man fan. I feel confident in saying that I love Spider-Man (the character) as much as any other character. Yet when I saw Spider-Man for the second time (mind you I loved it the first time) it was as if I was watching a completely different movie. I could not wait to leave. Now maybe I need to see it again but I was bothered by most of the movie. The villain sucked... Spider-Man was not very much like Spider-Man, for the most part... Dunst (who I think is an awesome actress) was on a sympathy kick. I still like the movie but I had the exact opposite reaction to it than I did AOTC when I saw it for the second time.

My first viewing of AOTC was at a private screening and I was blown away by it but walked out not really knowing what I saw. My second viewing I was in pain (I had really bad seats and my knees were killing me!) but I still loved it. My third time seeing it (I took my 14 year old brother) I realized this movie was fucking awesome. Every viewing since has made me feel like I did when I saw the first Star Wars, when I was 6! I wish other people could enjoy it in that way but I understand that some do not. It is ok. Everyone will go see the last one anyway. ;)

Maybe I will catch Spider-Man again just to give it a third look. :)

: I prefered Spider-Man.

: Then again I'm a much bigger Spidey fan than I am a Star Wars fan... that's why I'm also much more forgiving than a non-spidey fan would be.
