Take a look at all the great young directors out there right now. Directors who have many more movies for us to appreciate in the future.

Kevin Smith (Clerks, Chasing Amy)
Quentin Tarantino (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction)
Spike Lee (Do the Right Thing, Malcom X)
Christopher Nolan (Memento, Insomnia)
Cameron Crowe (Almost Famous, Vanilla Sky)
Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Road to Perdition)
M. Night Shyamalan (Sixth Sense, Signs)
Steven Soderbergh (Traffic, Erin Brockovich)
Bryan Singer (The Usual Suspects, X-Men)
David Fincher (Seven, Fight Club)

I know i'm forgetting some, but the point is there are some great directors out there right now, not to mention the older directors who continue to make great films.
