I'll start by thanking you for injecting a bit of humor into the globalized society. I am from Israel, and though you do not have the cult following in Israel that you have in North America, you are well liked. I first viewed Clerks in Israel and loved it!
I am 22 and consider myself intelligent and a feminist and I DO NOT FIND YOUR MOVIES OFFENSIVE! Anyone who does has lost their sense of humor. The humorous interlude between machine gun fire and suicide bombers is a relief! There is so much ugliness in the world that stems from lack of a sense of humor whether personal or political. There is strength in humor, of the rejuvinating sort.
The hysterical antics of Jay and Silent Bob have kept my spirits high for some time now, even my three yr. old loves them. I find it ridiculous that I have to wait 'til my yearly trips to the States to acquire a Bluntman and Chronic Comic and wonder why that is.
I too, hope that someone will pick up on the amazing talents of Jason Mewes. He has so much potential.
I noticed the refrence to Vladimir and Estragon, I noticed hints of Waiting for Godot in their character make-up; what are your views on Absurd Comedy and its affect on your work, on modern comedy and on Jay and Silent Bob in particular?
Good comedy never changes it only evolves with the times! Good on you!
