but A) I am simply playing devil's advocate and B) I don't listen to ANY of the Who's music and totally sympathize with the death of this man as a human being nonetheless.

Ok, having said all of that. Here is my arguement. He was there since the beginning, but the music mags are reporting that he wrote none of the hit songs for the band, only cotributed album songs and B sides, never wrote any of the "hits."

So why would you retire for the guy who only wrote the B sides?

As I said, its just a thought, its not even my opinion> I was shocked as hell they were pressing onward. But it is a thought.
