with regards to "crazy bidding" there are two things going on at auctions askew:

1. people don't realize it's not like eBay where it only increments you as somebody outbids you so they put in a "maximum" while hoping to get it for much less. which obviously doesn't work at Auctions Askew.

2. people don't give a rat's ass what you think and bid what they want to bid. If it's $20 or $50 or $100 higher than the next person's bid, who cares?

as long as they're happy and they don't mind spending their money it's all good. i, personally, would rather come out strong and not deal with having to rebid 100 times to get the item i want at what is (to me) a reasonable price.
