My main issue with guns being available to EVERYONE is that they make it so goddamn easy to kill someone you hardly even think about it. Stabbing, beating someone, strangling someone, whatever, think about it, takes SO much longer and causes the attacker to make the decision to go further over and over again, to rethink what's happening. With a gun, boom, one twinge of rage and there they go, someone's dead. This isn't to say that no guns would no murder, far from it, but I think it would make it a LOT less easier.
