I know he wants to leave the old characters in the dust, but JG is a new venture that's much more than that. It's a PG rated comedy/drama about regular, old, heterosexual love. It's... a subdued subject for Kevin, and although I know it's a revisiting to his married life, it seems greatly out of context of his past and future movies. He will revisit some the familiar material with Clerks 2, and then flow right back into the old comedy category with Fletch Won.
That's why I was wondering how he would categorize JG.
