: The sun is bad for you:) Like Bill Hicks said, "i've white skin, and tan teeth"

The SUN? Oh, man. Now what am I going to worship?

: Sometimes I feel not enough people appreciate other's work, and that I have some connection with the artists, even though it's not personal. I can't describe it very well. It's like this weird trippy feeling or intuition.

: I'm thankful that I can appreciate other's genius, I just hope someone
can appreciate what I create. It's a quagmire....

I know how that feels somtimes. I saw The White Rose at the Guthrie. Anyhow, it's a painting from the 60's that has a couple hundred layers and developed a deeply textured pattern. It's huge and heavy. I felt like my whole body was vibrating when I looked at it. Brilliant, alive - me and the painting, I guess. Now I don't remember the name of the painter, but I remember the painting and the feeling. Bruce Connor did a short film of them moving this painting - it had become a touchstone for lots of Beats.

Anyhow - that's the thing -- I remember the painting, the film, seeing the film - I even know who did the film. I don't know the artist's name, and I don't know anything about her.

: Anyway, you are cool, thanks for talking to me :)

No, you are cool. My cool ran out when I traded renting a sunporch and riding a bike everywhere for the rambler I live in now. S'okay - I got more years of cool than most people get. Now I get more strawberries out of my garden than I thought possible, and munching them in the hammock helps make up for it. Especially when my dog, Valerie, is hanging out below me.

Jeez, what am I doing up so early? Would you believe a fight with the milkman? cripes, fight the power, huh?
