THe question is, which was the first movie that you saw growing up that made you feel something, that touched you in some way?
Mine was Forrest Gump.
I was 11 years old,way before I turned into a snide little prick.
Nowadays people seem to deride it because it started the "Lovable 'tard" genre. Of course My left foot, Rain Man, Gaby: a true story, What's eating Gilbert Grape, were al made before FG, but that resource wasn't used as cynically as after FG.
I disdained it too because of all the corniness it involved, but yesterday I saw it again, and I got teary-eyed again, maybe because of nostalgia or maybe because it was truly a great movie.

Oh, also BIg, I'm not a big Tom Hanks fan but It was also one of the first good movies I saw. A couple years Later I saw Leon on TV and I loved it,before I knew it was regarded as one of the best movies.
