First one that made me feel abso-fucking-lutely ivincible, etc? The NEverending Story and Willy Wonka, and JAWs. They used to get re-aired alot on HBO and I was hopelessly hooked.

The first movie I saw in the theaters? Ok, its going to sound insane. Long Kiss Goodnight. Not because it made an emotional impact, but because watching that film was the first time I realized, "Hey, I could do that."
