Also I've got three DVDs right here in front of me that I rented from Blockbuster (one of which is Chasing Amy). And guess what, there all WIDESCREEN!

Maybe it's just your Blockbuster that sucks. Most Blockbusters are individual franchises that pay to have the Blockbuster name.
