Of course Smalls would go with this theory, it's totally flattering. My take is this, Smalls is at once the most insecure and most egotistical person on the internet, and sometimes the two sides clash.
Off the internet, that's another matter, but on the internet, he really wants people to see how arty/intelligent he is.
