Is insecurity overstating your opinions to stir up some shit... is insecurity going around singling out people as insecure and driving that notion into the ground over and over?
Is duality being sure of oneself sometimes and not sure the other... is duality being a really nice guy sometimes and ripping new assholes into people who buy your stuff and shower you with praise?
Because, man, how insecure is it for a guy with success cult and mainstream going around ripping the people giving him the cult success, buying his books, clicking his links... people who're younger, less experienced, less connected and still trying to find their voice?
Not even me. Jon Moody alone for Christ's sakes. Dozens of people here, handfuls at your own site. Going off on a group of people who make your comic books a massive success as indie books go for not buying the posters quick enough too... right while you're signing on as a writer for an amazingly successful comedy franchise?
You're a tougher nut to crack than I am, Brian. I wonder why a kid who graduated from film school with honors and a year and a half later is putting books on Amazon for friends for pocket cash is a little insecure at times? I don't wonder at all why a guy working in television, movies, comics publishing, live action, animation will just jump up and lash out at people for exaggerating with exaggerated insults now and again?
Sometimes you're a really nice guy with this biting wit and scads of success and grace... which seems to be who YOU are in real-life... and sometimes there's this guy who runs around the internet bullying people for trying and for being directionless or just for being kids and MAN.
I really really like that first guy.
And even if that second guy's there too, I'm still buying his stuff because it's really funny but... man, we'll start a club of people confused by the dualities of internet passing acquantences.
I'll be DIPA's president for life and you can be DIPA's emperor.
My insecurities are about my real life... and they're my own.
But if we're wondering here if the real Smalls will please stand up, I ask the same of Huber. While Mike and Brian are most likely pretty confused most of the time by both of the Hubers and both of the Smalls.
