TRUE LIES would be dodgy too, but it would have more of a chance to be released now than RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK.
I wonder what Cameron plans to do with TRUE LIES 2. Even in Ben Affleck's THE SUM OF ALL FEARS, the villains were changed from Clancy's Muslim extremists to European white supremacists.

On the other hand, I caught the original John Walker Lindh story, LAWRENCE OF ARABIA on the big screen for the first time about six weeks ago. Of course, a film as perfect and even-tempered as that never stoops to playing a scene of a white man shooting an out-matched Arab swordsman in the street for laughs (with all the locals cheering the FUCKING WHITE GUY!!).
