Crispin asked for too much money to be in the sequels, and he wouldn't budge, the stupid jackass. I don't know why he thought he was indespensible, but really they mostly just needed Fox, Lloyd, and maybe Tom Wilson as Biff, but even that's a big maybe.
I vividly remember that incident on Letterman many years ago back on NBC. Crispin damn near karate kicked Letterman in the head, they quickly went away to commercial, and when they came back Letterman, still looking pissed, said "That guy's never coming back on this show!" I believe Dave's stayed true to his word, then again I've never seen him ANYWHERE in the last decade other than "Charlie's Angels".
