Not true. The next book from Chuch Palanhniuk, who wrote Fight Club, was also set to be made by David Fincher like Fight Club but the plug got pulled. The main character hijacks a plane and crashes and there are a few other things that would have caused a stir as well so Fox stopped doing it.
