movie anymore (and yes, Vincent, I'll exclude Devil's Backbone). When I was a kid I'd read those "Scary Stories for Bedtime" and the like and the stories that always used to get me were the ones dealing with shadows and darkness. It's the perfect horror premise. Most people have an inherent fear of the dark anyway (fear of the unknown, etc.) so it would be the perfect thing to tap into. I saw one other movie (title escapes me now) that dealt with the monster being a shadow type monster and it wasn't that good either (at the end the guy's in an all-while room with lights and the POV travels up this one dark tube that he's looking down).

How, how, HOW can they fuck stuff up this much?!
