Zen Buddhism -- although I'm not sure I'd call as much of a "religion" as a "path".

Yep. All the time. Buddha told his followers to question his teachings and find out for themselves. Questioning is part of the path.

I was raised Christian and tried that for awhile as an adult, but it just didn't work for me. After one of my best friends committed suicide, I started reading all I could about religions and philosophies. I stumbled onto Taoism and then Buddhism, both of which led me to Zen Buddhism.
