: Kevin,
: I am sitting here watching the commenarty on Chasing amy. I noticed that you speak of Mallrats quite often as a movie that didn't do so well and not many people liked. I wanted to tell you about The Mallrats Rule that was passed to me and i have passed to at least twenty people.
: If you are going to rent a movie with a group of people, and you can't decide on a movie (which always happens). You ask if anyone hasn't seen Mallrats, and if one person says they haven't seen it, then you rent it. I have seen the movie at least 40 times like this. I have many friends that have then taken this rule to their other friends, and i have never, ever heard of a person that didn't love the movie. I have firends that hate all of your other movies, but love Mallrats. I rent movies a lot, but only go to movies in theater like 3 times a year, but because of mallrats i will never miss one of your movies on opening weekend, and i have many friends who feel the same way. Mallrats is amazing, great work.
Gotta agree, Mallrats is indeed an essential film to the View Askewniverse, the only thing that pissed me off was the total lack of bonus features on the Region 2 DVD. Ah well, it's out of your control, and, hey, it's such a good film it doesn't matter, huh? Great film, anyway, you should be and I'm sure you are proud, Kevin.
