dude, we entered World War II -- for better or worse; I'm not saying it was the right reason or wasn't -- only because Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. Roosevelt had wanted us to enter for years, but America was against it because of what happened during and after World War I. So, um, I don't really know what your point is, it doesn't seem to apply to the current situation (where we were attacked by the enemies of the people that we're preparing to go to war with) at all.
