in Los Angeles. They are often held on the lot of whatever studio the movie is connected to, which is cool if you want to get on the lot. The guy comes up to you, askes if you are in the industry, and if you are NOT, you may go to the screening. They often overbook, so you have to get there early.
I saw THE CROW in a test screening about 6 months before it was released, and I wrote on the card they they were disgusting for releasing it and exploiting the death of Brandon Lee. I guess they didn't care.
I also got to see PRIVATE PARTS at Paramount few months before release, and Howard snuck in the back while it was going on.
