: And that's exactly why I messed up my knee. They had just blown the slope
-Do they EVER stop? I hate those snow blowers. I am not really good at skiing at all, but I am really really really bad when it comes to skiing on ice.
and I hit thick powder, underneath which was an ice mound that diverted each ski in an opposite direction. Doing the splits at 40 mph I panicked and tried to jump up and get my skiis underneath me, but the powder on top was so much weight that I ended up popping both knees and taking a bad tumble.
-That sucks. Do you remember which slope it was? Appalachian, Sugar, Beech, Hawksnest??? I would say sugar is normally the best bet, but if you are already driving that far, go on up to Snowshow WV.
-Personally, I don't really feel one way or the other, but did anybody give you shit for being from florida? They (mainly my friends who were students) don't seem to really care for people from florida up there. Well, they don't care for most of the florida people who travel there, ie, retired folk. They always seem to be in a caddilac, in the wrong lane, going the wrong speed, whilst taking up all the parking and running up real estate prices. Friends of mine call them either floridiots, or Half-backs, which refers to them being "half-way" back to New York. Just curious if you ran into any of this...
