"Ladies and others, we all are here because we share a common bond. We each promised someone close to us that we'd attend, and even after repeatedly using some of our best excuses to get out of it, we are still present here, this evening. At running the risk of being more entertaining than our entertainment, I wanted to start tonight off on a good note, seeing as how we'll hear, many, many sour ones as the night progresses. I just got married this past weekend. We had a small percentage of our families in attendance, but since she is of hispanic descent, that made our head count a little over the population of Rhode Island. All went well, and we are now happily Mr. and Mrs. Chico Maria Gonzalez O'reily. The point of all this is, it doesn't matter who you are, what the situation is, or where you come from, everyone has a chance. Whether it be in regards to relationships, world affairs, school, or even at talent shows like the one we have lined up for you. Everyone has a chance. Without any further rantings from myself, let's fire up that applause sign and get things under way."
