You're just getting mucked up by time travel.

My basic rule is that everything that happens is going to happen only you can travel through time and mess everything up but if you do it will all work out in the end like nothing happened because it was supposed to.

That being said I hate time travel and have only seen it pulled off once in a story that actually made sense and was done well with no paradoxes left over.
