This question is inspired by jthecamb's mentioning of High Fidelity; that got my crazy neurons firing right away. I guess the qualifacations are you are snobby about the whole situation, and (hopefully) it is justifiable. Since you have much better tastes in whichever topic, then your opinion matters more than others.

So,

We're all in the movie section, because this is what niche people do; they post on web-boards about the things they love.

I would say I'm also in the music, video game, and comics categories also; oh also sports. My opinion on all of these things holds great weight because of my superior intellect in said fields.

Discuss... and not about me being an arrogant prick for saying I'm better than everyone, but DISCUSS as in, join in my cause.
