Writing the Bat?

Kevin recently stated that Batman was his favorite super hero in the latest "Arena" article. Since the Bat is my all-time favorite hero, and Kevin is one of my favorite writers, it would be very exiting for me to see Kevin write for a Batman book. I realize that he is busy with "Jersey Girl" right now, but I was wondering if DC has approached Kevin again with an offer to write on Batman. The NML arc is long gone, and "Hush" is enjoying "brisk" sales, so this would be the perfect time for Kevin to jump on the Bat-boat, as it were. If anyone could help with answers to my queries, I'd be much obliged.
