And you're missing the very simple explanation. You see, it's all a loop, a la 12 Monkeys. John Connor sent back Kyle Reese, who impregnated Sarah Connor. Her baby grew up and sent back Reese, who impregnated her, etc... The reason John Connor is able to exist is because it's a loop. It's happened before and it happens again. It's been happening forever and it will happen forever. It's a loop. Get it?
