...so I'm not really with you on the whole "GWH was so great, why aren't they still writing" bag, which I think is part of your point. (Of course, my opinion on GWH puts me in the minority)
But, if GWH came out of a class assignment, as I swear I heard on NPR, then that might explain why there hasn't been more writing. The last fiction writing I did was for a college course years ago.
Or maybe they just don't have as many ideas as you. Or maybe they're pickier about what ideas they follow through to completion. Maybe they've worked on an idea a month for the past few years, but haven't been satisfied by the results, so you haven't heard about 'em.
Not all writers want to write all the time. Not all writers who write a screenplay want to ever do it again. There's so many reasons as to why you haven't seen another Ben and Matt movie (and not just b/c they haven't written one).
: writer
: n 1: writes (books or stories or articles or the like) professionally (for pay) [syn: author] 2: a person who is able to write and has written something

: Now, no one has actually paid me for anything i have scribbled down, but thats not the point. I write to write, i like to see my ideas on paper. To change them to mold them, to play with them. But to write something that good and then nothing? Why would you not continue it?
: Yes i see that they are both actors, and that is their first love. But in this buisness it is ok to have a girl or two on the side. For the love of god, if your that good at writing then please continue. If i gave you millions of dollars and an award for writing a movie would you not try to see if you can do that again?
: Something is missing.
: Or i am missing something.
