And yes, it is SOOO very helpful to write angry, obscene letters to gossip/entertainment columnists. The fact is, these people LOVE this kinda stuff. These types of writers DESPISE getting off their ass to find a story and would love nothing more than to have it spoon fed to them -- say, by having a bunch of Kevin Smith fans write them angry emails. Not only does it boost their egos, it gives then more fodder for their column.
You're not helping Kevin (and you're certainly not helping yourselves). Let this talk die down. Every letter you write just keeps this pointless topic in rotation. Let it die without a struggle and there will be nothing to remember 7 months from now. Keep it up and these fuckers will have even more reason to tear the movie to shreads. Hell, Gigli may be bad but even Roger Ebert said that the critics went too far in tearing it a new a-hole. Keep antagonizing them and see what they do to Jersey Girl, even if it the movie is GOOD.
BY the way, is it just me, or is that "Operation Greenlight" line a typo? The publicist calls it "Project Greenlight" (the name I know it as) in the next quote... Like my old editor used to tell me, "If you can't get the name right, why should I trust anything else you have to say?"
Let these fucking sycophants talk their shit and just wait patiently for the movie to come out. Kevin Smith is big enough to stand up for himself (and, unlike most of you, HE'S actually seen the final cut of the movie!)
