I appreciate filmmaking as an art. As such, quality counts. I'd much prefer to see a "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind" or "About Schmidt" rather than "Home Alone 9." The simple fact is crap films get made either to target an audience or when big names sign on. What about having a films that stand on merit or morality tales as opposed to a pocketbook?
I hope Hollywood grows up. Maybe some of this talk will sink through the thick skulls of some decisionmakers.
