Well, Frank, I may be completely off here, but what I felt Kevin was trying to convey in the final scene of Amy was the growth that each of the characters had experienced since their last meeting.
Holden worked out his issues with Alyssa by having "Something personal to say" and finally putting it all out there for the world to see.
Banky may not have resolved all of his problems, but he was finally recognized for being a true artist.
Alyssa was the only one of the three that I did not perceive as growing up and moving on. But since her wordly behavior was what caused the most problems anyhow, maybe she was right where she needed to be anyway.
All in all, Mr. Smith, in my humble opinion, did an excellent job of both coming up with characters that were very easy to fall head over heels in love with, and walking the audience through the trials and tribulations that they faced in this short time frame. Personal growth... that was truly felt by this fan.
I think I got a little off the subject there, but that is just how an ADD mind works... enjoy! I do!!!!
