Damn you, Samsung!

I have a Samsung DVD player, and I got alot of good play time out of it....for about a month and a half. All of the sudden, it just got all goofy on me. It will still play CDs, but when I pop in a DVD, it kinda just sits there, I mean I still get the 'loading' message on the screen, but as far as I know, it does nothing. I'm not sure if it wont play at all, or is just really slow about it, because i usually just give up after 10 minutes. Anyone know what might be happening?

Also, to avoid posting more than one message, does anyone know when True Crime: Streets of LA will be hitting the stores?
