a profligate ice-cream binge. (sigh)
saw Hitchcock's "Frenzy" for the first time. Wow.
Happy November, all.
Listening to Terry Gross' interview with Sean Penn. He spoke of the
way reviewers spoil movies by revealing plot and pre-judging work

To rise to the media bait, whether paparazzi or publicity, thus adding
fuel to the Bennifer* flap, is to add our energy to a bitter batch of
frosting the movie doesn't deserve or need. I say this having had a
word with Raquel Costa, who so deserves to make an entrance into
a kindly (or, at the least, neutral) new askewniverse. Ain't?
*see how the media appropriated and made a weapon of the
whimsical name Kevin coined?
