I saw Frenzy for the first time several years ago. I guess I made the mistake of seeing Family Plot first.. (not a Karen Black fan), and that just put me off seeing Frenzy when it started getting aired on television.. big mistake. Plus it was neat seeing other actors I was already very fond of.. comedy legend Bernie Cribbens being one ("Casino Royale", "Daleks' Invasion Earth: 2150 AD" (Dr. Who played by Peter Cushing), or even "Don't Raise the Bridge, Lower the River" might be familiar to some of you).
The whole Ben and Jen thing in the media was such overkill. It ticked me off especially after how they trashed him post election 2000. I just assumed it was an attempt to do to him what they've tried to do to Alec Baldwin... try to quash his career because they feel they can. It's not deserved and certainly not needed, of course, but short of public backlash.. there isn't much we can do about it (frustrating to be sure).. perhaps if someone would take this on as a film subject (major hint KEVIN!?) :) it might creatively nudge a movement for actual real positive change.. in comparison to the faux movement that is tending to only motivate energy for what is only a waste as it's for a negative outcome..
my question is why are today's youth such willing victims to the sham movement's slaughter? Why the embrace of hypocrisy?
Also, am I the only person who has just come to loathe Terry Gross?
