I'm not sure why reading asinine posts by people who obviously have way too much idle time on their hands aggravates me, but whatever the case, let me make the following points ABUNDANTLY FUCKING CLEAR:
1. I am not "miffed" at Kevin Smith, John Sloss, View Askwew or Miramax that the show was closed.
2. When I was said adapting a stage version of Clerks was a "dream" of mine, I meant it was something I hoped to do, not the end all/be all of my existence, without which my life would have no meaning.
3. I was under the impression (and was told by Miramax) that non-profit theatre companies could perform productions without securing exclusive rights so long as they don't charge and make no profit. Therefore I did not stage this play with the MALICIOUS INTENT of "stealing" Kevin Smith's work.
4. I put an e-mail address (reluctantly) on my original post because I wanted serious responses sent there. I did NOT want random, meandering, pseudo-intellectual flame posts from people who have no idea about the context of the situation at hand.
