Start buying trades. I'm thinking specifically of Backstage West for LA (I guess that's Backstage for NY but don't know for sure. Daily Variety and The Hollywood Reporter are good too, and their ads might be online.
As for the attitude suggested by Outspoken, that is GOLD for any film production. Work hard, keep your mouth shut...it'll go a long way.
We can't all be Kevin, but pretty much anyone on this board can work in entertainment. I slipped into a clerical accounting job temp-to-perm some 15 years ago, segued to distribution finance (international) and am still doing it. All you have to do is be persistent. And moving to LA or NY (if you're not already there) is a good idea.
