It's actually easy to get on a big budget flick.

Buy a Truck!

Go to the local film permit office. Ask for a list of permitted locations
in the area. LA keeps a free list.

Go to a location with a resume and say, "I have a truck and I'm willing
to work as a PA for free."

You'll be surprised at how quickly you work.

Never start an argument, be humble, do not ask for gas money, do
not whine, always help (not offer) but actually help, Leave your pride
at home.

You will be asked back, and back, and back. Then the electrician, or
the gaffer, or grip, or ??? Will say come here kid, I'll show you how to
do this.

Then that person, say gaffer, will say, "this flick wraps today, but I've
got a gig that I could use you one next week."

Easy!

If you want to work on one of Kevin's movies, do the same thing, but
this time at his location.

Also, it never hurts to show up with Doughnuts.
