You're fully entitled to not liking beer. I've never been able to understand those that do. I think I've had maybe 2 beers in this lifetime that I enjoyed, and they were both from microbreweries (a Belgian white, and something that tasted like liquid woodsmoke, for the record).
Drinking hard liquor doesn't necessarily get you picked on for being ladylike. The thing to do is find booze that's both macho and... well, not beer. I'm a girl, so I'm allowed the fruity/Bailey's type drinks, but I've known guys who drink shots that get away with it just fine.
Or, try hard cider.
Or, stick with Diet Coke. :-)
